I thank you for your interest in First Baptist Church of Mebane. We are excited to present a website to you that will help answer many of the questions that you may have about our church. God is working in a mighty way in our church, and we are excited about sharing that with everyone who would listen. Although this website will answer many of your questions, please know that we stand ready to give you any other information that you might need. We are a church who cares deeply about those in our church but equally for those who are outside the fellowship.

The Bible is God's living Holy Word. It teaches us how to live, how to love, how to do family, and how to experience victory in daily living. Here at our church we teach how that can be applied in our daily walk. The Bible is our means of hearing from God and discovering His will for our lives.

We are a community of faith centered on Jesus Christ and committed to His purposes in the world. All of us yearn for genuine community - a gathering of believers, who are friends and become family, in which we know we are loved and that we belong. We want the confidence that faith provides and assurance that God is with us no matter what happens to us.

We believe that authentic community and honest faith are gifts to us from Jesus Christ, and that is why we put Him at the center of all we are and do. He is the focus of our worship, the standard by which truth and goodness are measured, the model for our relationships with each other, the pattern for our compassion toward those who struggle, and the source of our unity. As you will hear us say: "It's all about Jesus."
