Weekly Update 3-6-2020

Special Called Business Meeting: A Special Called Business Meeting is set for Wednesday, March 18th at the beginning of the Prayer Meeting @ 6:30 pm regarding the Ministry Placement report.

New Light Worship Service: On Sunday, March 22nd a third worship service will be held on Sunday evenings at 6:30 PM.

There are two main goals:

  1. One is to make room on Sunday morning for increased attendance at the 11:00 AM Service.
  2. Another goal is to attract a group of people who cannot or do not come to worship on Sunday morning, but might be able

or willing to come on Sunday evening.

These may include people whose work schedules or travel schedules or health problems from time to time hinder their attendance on Sunday morning. It may include people who are afraid of the stereotyped Sunday-morning-go-to-church pattern but are being drawn by the Spirit to be open to Christ. It may include young people looking for something to do on Sunday night. Who knows who it might touch?

We will preserve the intense, God-centered atmosphere – it will be a worship service not a fellowship hour.

Begin to pray that God would cause his word to run and be glorified in this new venture of faith. May he make our services an occasion for his regenerating and edifying work!

Manna Market Needs –    Hopefully I can keep this more current than I have

First a huge thanks to Gary and Marsha Harris who spent a great deal of time straightening and cleaning the Manna Market room, it looks great. As some may know I’ve been down with Pneumonia for about a week and they took this on themselves, can’t express how much I appreciate it.

I inventoried March 3rd and here are our up to date needs…

Mac and cheese, very low

Cold Cereals

Jiffy Corn bread mix

Baking mix – Bisquick style, store brands are fine, Ramen noodles, any style canned Fruit, mashed potatoes packets, sweet peas. We are fairly low on Beef Stew and Canned Chicken

Thing we just don’t need more of right now…but we’ll take them 😉

Canned corn, we have a mountain of this

Green beans… a whole shelf full

Canned Spaghetti…we were gifted a very large supply so are good for quite a while…thanks to the generous donator Chilli beans, kidney beans and black beans…these are slow movers and we’re good for now.

Bagged beans of all types…maybe we need to have cooking classes as many just don’t seem to know what to do with them or don’t want to take the time.

Our thanks go out to all of you who have given so generously to this Mission and w pray you will continue.

Coordinator Manna Market
