Psalm 150:6  Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord, Praise ye the Lord.

With spring bringing such amazing beauty and evidence of rebirth, our hearts are simply bursting with joy and praise for our creator.  With the glorious sounds of our beautiful Easter music, the God inspired messages we hear each Sunday, and the spirit of caring for one another coming from our church family, we can hardly contain ourselves with appreciation and desire to live our lives abundantly.  God has truly blessed us.

Our recent trip to Fort Caswell with the theme, “Thrive”, was great.  We had enthusiastic singing led by our own Jim Turner, wonderful sermons by Rev. Mark Howard of Angier, NC, fun games, relaxing time on porches overlooking calming water and buffets of good food, which made for a wonderful retreat.

With this God given inspiration and energy the SAALT team has been working on some fun plans for the spring and summer.  Marsha Harris has arranged for us to take a train ride to Raleigh and some fun tours. More trips and tours are coming in July.  PLEASE GIVE US YOUR SUGGESTIONS for future lunches, programs and trips.  We need your input and we aim to please.

JULY 23, Tues.,  Trip to the Shallowford Popcorn Farm and Factory and Mrs. Hanes Cookie Tours.  Lunch at Battle Branch Grill.

AUGUST 6,  Tuesday, Wohlfhahrt Dinner Theatre, “A Country Gospel”  ONLY 20 tickets available at this time.  Waiting list for future tickets if they are available.

Along with all of these activities our JOYs are always doing mission work for the shut ins that aren’t able to attend the services and meetings.  This past month they went out to the nursing homes and also to the individual homes to deliver balloons for Memorial Day.  They make Mother’s day cards to deliver, Father’s day cards, Valentine’s Baskets, and any holiday that you can think of.  What a WONDERfUL MINISTRY, AND A WONDERFUL GROUP OF FOLKS. Pictures included are from some of the Memorial Day Deliveries.
