Notes from Nita,

I Peter: 8  Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing,  ye rejoice with JOY unspeakable and full of glory.

Notes from Nita,

Psalms 36:7  How excellent is thy loving kindness,  O God!  Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

We’ve had a  busy month so far,  and it looks like we’re going to be even busier next month.  Isn’t it reassuring to know that while we rush about that our Loving Heavenly Father is watching over us.  May we all express our love and gratitude to Him for his blessings as we celebrate His  birth next  month.

We had a excellent turnout for our Thanksgiving lunch. The food was great, the decorations by Donna Faircloth were  beautiful, and another extra special  treat was the beautiful songs we heard sung by our own FBC Men’s Ensemble.  We appreciate so much all the members of our church do to make the seniors feel special.  THANK YOU!

Jan. 15, Wed. Lunch;  Nita will cook lasagna bought with funds from our Sr. budget.  Members will bring salad, bread and desserts.  The program will be brought by David Scott, pastor of Grace Reformed Baptist Church, speaking on his mission trip to Zambia.

Thurs., Jan. 23:  We will go to the Morehead Planetarium in Chapel Hill Tues, Dec. 10, 2:30 p.m.   Trip to Meadows Restaurant for a  seafood and buffet meal.  We’ll see  30 acres of Christmas lights, 26 mannequins portraying the life of Christ from birth to resurrection.

REMEMBER, every Wed. at 2 p.m. we have GAMES IN THE GROVE:  Come join us.
